This painting is dedicated to Clark Richert who didn't like the color yellow-green. That color is the one usually representing the number five in my magic square of nine matrix. It would have been the only color not wrapping around the panel in this painting, so it inspired me to use an acrylic black that absorbs 99.4% of visible light. Does that make the color doubly absent? I think Clark would have enjoyed it.
